MY MIND IS A MOVIE OF THE NIGHT
My Mind Is A Movie Of The Night is Rasmus Benner’s debut EP with four songs. We needed a photo for everyone of the singles and a final photo for the EP cover.
At the time we started working on it the project the EP didn’t have a title or concept/story. But we wanted a strong and story driven universe for the EP. Something that would connect four different songs.
What did these four songs had in common? We asked ourselves. The answer was a sadness and loneliness. They dealt with some heavy feelings. Cool - how do we tell a story about that?
In the first single called ”Burning” Benner sings about walking home late at night. He’s drunk and thinking about heavy things. We realised that this story could hold up the other three songs. So now the EP story was about walking home from a drunk night.
Also in that first single ”Burning” Benners sings ”my mind is a movie of the night”. We found the last piece of the puzzle. The EP became a ”movie” and the four singles was different scenes from it.
